Happy Belated Birthday My Love
Yesterday was Young's birthday, so I'm a day late in posting a happy birthday to him. Cameron and I had a 24hr stomach bug yesterday and were pretty much out of it all day. We had to cancel our dinner reservations, cancel the sitter and Young had to come home early to help me feed and bath the kids because I wasn't feeling well at all. What a happy birthday, huh? But he was a real trooper and helped nurse me back to health. We'll try to make it up to him this weekend!
This is a picture of earlier this week, Young go home late, just after I put the kids down to bed. I told him I had just put them down but he could go kiss the goodnight. I was cleaning the kitchen and turned around to see this...he just couldn't resist getting them up and playing with them! What a great daddy they have...what a great husband I have...i love you!

Exploring the Back Yardl
We had one last day of really nice, warm weather last week...before the rain started again. It was Tuesday and I wanted to hang close to home to watch all the Inaugural festivities on TV. But of course the kids wanted some play time...how to do both?? Oh yeah, we do have a back yard! I sometimes forget about the back yard because we live across the street from Golden Gate Park and there is always so much to do over there. And, to be honest, our back yard isn't that inviting for kids. We haven't spent a lot of time back there and it's somewhat unfinished. But I guess we'll need to put some time and attention into it now...make room for a swing set and slide!
Anyway, I took the kids back there just to get some fresh air and a little time in the dirt. They were so fascinated by their new surroundings, they just sat and stared most of the time. Cameron crawled over to the diaper bag and found the Cheerios once again so we had a little Cheerios picnic on the blanket!Timo likes to cram a fist full of Cheerios in at a time!

Cameron's Talents
Cameron was showing off some of her tricks for her Daddy the other night. I taught her how to stick out her tongue and clap. Young speaks Korean to them a lot and she learned what "kisses" means in Korean...very exciting for Daddy!

Into Everything
I was in the kitchen putting some dishes away and Timothy was at my feet. After a few minuets I noticed Cameron was being very quiet in the living room...I was suspicious. I left the dishwasher door down b/c I was drying the kids highchair trays and went to see what Cameron was doing. I found her rummaging through the diaper bag. She had found the container of Cheerios, taken the lid off and was snacking on them! I cleaned things up, put the diaper bag away and noticed Timothy was being quiet...what was he into now?? I go back into the kitchen and he was trying to take the bottom rack out of the dishwasher! Ugh, why don't these kids like to play with their toys????

waking up from naptime
This video is a little old but our friend Sharona requested more videos of the kids. She was our babysitter and good friend who moved to London last year..we miss her. Here you go Sharona. I was getting the kids up from a nap and they were having so much fun cracking each other up...

11 Months Old!
I can't believe we've almost made it one year!! I was just telling Cameron she has almost survived a whole year with Mommy and Daddy...she seemed happy about that...
As far as milestones this month, it seems to be more on the learning side than actual physical. Such as Cameron knowing what a brush is and trying to brush her hair every time she picks it up or Timothy knowing what a sock is and trying to put it on his put...as in he just lays it across the top of his foot. They are moving objects from one place to another and then back. (I'll try to get a video of Timo putting food on Cameron's try and then taking it back.) And they are mimicking more and more actions of Young and me as well as each other.
So here are a few highlight of the past month...
Climbing steps/stairs
Timo walking around holding on to something.
Cameron crawling, pulling herself up, getting back down and taking small steps holding on.
"Mama" and "Dada" from both
mastering sippy cups with straws
I decided to do pictures after their bath this time because they are always so goofy after their bath. I'm not sure why, but they get so crazy just before bedtime. It might not have been the best idea, they wouldn't sit still for the pictures. Of course that might also have to do with their age too....

Parks and Playdates!
The weather has been so unseasonably warm this past week. I feel bad because my family on the East Coast if freezing! But it's so nice to get out of the house and hit the parks. We've been almost every day this week and had a some fun play dates with other twins. I only had my camera one day so you'll be seeing the Sullivan twins...Coe and Ashlyn. (Coe is pronounced Ko)
They climbed up there themselves...Ashlyn giving Timo a hand. And we ran into another set of b/g twins at the park...we could be our own preschool!

Chasing the Ball!
Timothy loves anything that can be pushed or rolled...anything he can chase after. (Such a little boy) He absolutely loves to chase this ball around the house. It kept getting lost in various rooms, bathrooms and closets so I've learned to close a few door and keep him...and his ball...in the living room and dining room. He doesn't care one bit! He just keeps chasing it like a mad man. Each time he reaches out to grab it he just pushes it further away and off he goes again. Round and round in circles. I love it because he will completely wear himself out and be super tired for his nap! Cameron doesn't see the fun in it, especially when there is a teddy bear that needs lots of kisses. (Such a little girl)

Introduction to Elmo
The kids don't watch much TV simply because they just aren't interested. Saturday mornings Young will put on cartoons for them but they loose interest after about 5mins. But not Elmo! Usually the kids are napping when Elmo is on but if they happen to wake up early I'll turn on him on...and boy do they get excited. Cameron claps her hands when she see Elmo and they will be mesmerized by him for a good 15mins.
Here are some pics from the other day, they woke up early and I wasn't finished cleaning the kitchen yet so they got a treat! After a few minuets they both crawled over to the TV to try and touch Elmo...I had to keep coming back in to pull them away from the TV. What is it about that red puppet??
Then it was off to play with a box! It amazes me what little they need to have fun!!

Baby Jail!
We finally broke down and got a super play yard to help keep the kids under control. I really don't mind them crawling all around the house but there are times when I need to keep one or both in one place for a moment...like diaper changes. Timo can get into trouble really fast while my hands are tied with Cameron. And it comes apart and doubles as baby gates when we're not using it as a play pin. We can finally block off the fireplace, lower book shelves and doorways. Whew!
The kids were super fascinated by the structure at first. It was hard to set it up without them nipping at my heels. But after about 30mins they were tired of being locked up and were trying to get out. Cameron especially. Now she wants out within 5mins of being in there...but I think it's a separation thing for her.

Let's Get Dirty!
Young had a meeting at church this weekend so I let the kids play in the playground while we waited (first weekend of good weather in a while) and the kids got so dirty! I left the camera in the car and I'm sad I didn't get pictures of the kids climbing the steps to the slide!! I was so surprised when Timo headed right up to the top with Cameron not far behind. We don't have stairs in our house so I didn't know they even would knew how. They didn't really know how to get down, but going up was so much fun for them. Daddy slid down the slide with Timo but I don't think he's ready for that much fun yet.
I also realized how hard it's going to be keeping up both of them once they are walking. Even just crawling, one would go one way the other in a different direction. And we were the only ones on the playground...what happens when there are tons of other little kids running around??? I could manage right now but once they are off and running...oh boy!
Here are the kids after the park and a little teething biscuit snack. I think it's time to get them some shoes...their socks were beyond dirty. Young was not happy about the mess and wanted to change their clothes before we put them in the car...he has no idea what awaits him when it's time for mud pies!!

Sweet Sounds
The kids are starting to mimic sounds...I wouldn't really call them "words" yet but it sure sounds sweet hearing their speaking voice!
This first one is funny. Timo says mama alot and will actually repeat it back to me in the same tone I say it in. I was trying to get him on video saying it...but here's what happened...
And Cameron says "hi" all the time...you just have to get her going. I got about 3 videos of her saying hi but this is the only one where she faces the camera...

Cameron is Catching Up!
I didn't want to take away from all of Cameron's milestones. Timothy is usually the first to reach different achievements but Cameron isn't far behind. She is FINALLY crawling forward, we were a little worried, but is a pro now and getting faster and faster. It helps to have a older brother to chase after. It's so funny to watch Timo crawl ahead of her, turn around and laugh, crawl back to meet her, laugh, and then crawl ahead to wait for her to catch up. As soon as she catches up, he is off again.
And she is pulling herself up too! This is the first time she did it, NYE. I still think she is going to walk before Timo because she'll pull herself up and then will get so excited and let go...just stand without really knowing what she has done. So we'll see...

New Seats!
The kids have new car seat!! See how much more room they have? (We got these seat last month but haven't had a chance to post the pics.) It was getting harder and harder to fasten the buckle on them when they were wearing thick clothes and jackets. The seats are still rear facing but much more room for them to play. Timothy was getting super cranky in his old seat but now I think he is much more comfortable. The down side is there isn't as much room between the two seats...when I have to jump back there to on occasion. But they will be forward facing soon and can see all the action...and have plenty of room to grow!

No more goofing off with Daddy and staying in our jammies all day...the holiday vacation is over. Young went back to work this morning and we're getting back into our routine.
Sorry for the lack of posting the past few days. Young was off for the 2 weeks of Christmas/New Years and we've been busy and lazy. We've also been taking a lot of pictures with the SLR camera and the pictures have to be resized to post...I'll get around to it soon.
We have lots of things to post and update you on and I'll try to get back into my routine this week!

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a happy new year and didn't make too many new years resolutions that are too hard to keep...
We had a nice New Years and were able to go out and enjoy an evening celebrating with some friends. Claudia and her daughter Ashley happily babysat for us...thank you so much! It was fun so see some of my friends at Orson and ring in the new year in the crowds.
On New Year's Day we woke the kids up and wished the a new 2009! We also had the traditional Korean soup, Duk Gook, which was delicious. Your are supposed to eat the soup on New Year's Day to officially start the new year. Our friends Alicia, Mike and little Noah joined us. Then back home and catch up on some sleep!
We wish you all happiness and many blessings in the new year!!!
