Coffee Table
I'm quickly realizing that our coffee table is becoming the center of play for the kids. They are always toting their toys over and struggling to lift them up on top of the table. I think now that they are walking, they want to play standing up....and the fact that the wheels on the trucks go faster on the table! They will start out with one or two toys and as the day goes on they gradually add to the toy pile. I need to find a little table and chairs for them so they can sit up in a chair (Cameron loves to sit in chairs) and play at their own little table.(Miss LeeAnn taught Cameron how to play drums with the can and wooden toy chicken leg...that's all she wants to play with now!)

Ouch!
I know it doesn't look like much but it's the first time I've seen blood on Timohty. Somehow Timothy got a bad scratch over his eye...playing under the dinning room table. Who knows how that happened, all I know is one minute he was laughing with his sister and the next he was balling his eyes out. I ran over and saw blood over his eye. Ah, the tale tale signs of growing up.

Cool Whip!
Strangely enough, whip cream/cool whip is on Cameron's list of high calorie foods she should eat. The kids aren't super excited about sweet things so I wasn't sure how Cool Whip was gonna go over but it was a HIT! I sliced up some bananas and dipped them in the Whip...they loved it. Some dripped on the pasta Cameron hadn't eaten so she ate that, as well as trying to dip her ritz cracker in the bowl of Cool Whip I was holding. Eating was followed by a long time of finger painting in the mess we made! Putting on the pounds on is kinda fun!!

Crazy Kids
This is how the kids are almost every night after their bath. I think maybe they are on a sugar rush from the fruit or something. And both are in a very "monkey see, monkey do" phase right now, so notice how each mimics the other. The second video is a continuation of the first...

Kiddie Ko-Op
We started a wonderful new childcare co-op at our church called the Kiddie Ko-Op, hallelujah! A mom is paired with a volunteer to watch the kids for 3hours every Thursday. That's means the moms get a whole 3 hours off three times a month!!! How amazing is that?! We've been trying it out for a month now and it seems to be working out really well. I can't tell you how nice it has been to have 3 hours to myself. And the kids are so much fun to play with on the day that I do have to work the co-op. We use the toddler room at our church so there are so many big toys for the kids. There are about 6 to 7 toddlers now and we are hoping to open it up soon to the community around us as a ministry, so keep that in your prayers...that we would be able to reach out to families as a service to them.
Here are some pictures from a few of the play dates
Cameron and Olivia playing peek-a-boo in the house and Timothy's obsession with the train table, he stays there the practically the whole time.
why should my kids act any different at a play group than at home...Timo climbing into anything and Cameron pushing chairs!
Oh, snack time! And the girls learning how the dishwasher works...for future use...
the kids playing the toons and Caleb, Timo and Cameron seeing if they can fit in the cubbies. Good times!

It's Hot!
It has been SO HOT the past few days here in San Francisco...record breaking 90s! We don't have air condition in our house because 350 days out of the year we are in the 60/70s. So we just have to tough out these heat waves the best we can. The kids love it because they get to run around in their diapers all day long and get ice cubes in their sippy cups!
playing with their toys and taking a much needed cold milk break!
Cameron double fisting the sippy cups (she likes the rattle of the ice cube). Time out for a strawberry snack...yummy!
running down the hall when I announced "bath time"...Timo trying to push the door open...he LOVES bath time!
You might have noticed that Timothy almost ALWAYS has a bib on, even in this heat. He is such a drooler!! I've never seen a baby that drools as much as he does. He will soak through at least 3 bibs a day, no joke. This goes on constantly, not just when he is teething. I feel so bad because most of his baby pictures will have the bib...but it beats changing his soaking shirt 10 times a day!!

Feeling the Love
Cameron has rediscovered the penguin. I'm not sure if you remember way back, but Cameron used to be scared of this laughing penguin. We put it away for a while and just brought it back out to see what Cameron thought of it. She was a little skeptic at first but began to really love the penguin! Now she rolls around with it, hugging and kissing. And of course, now Timothy is a little scared by it. He'll watch it...but only at a safe distance...

Sleepy #2 + Update
OK, sorry, just have to post one more video of Cameron falling alseep at dinner. I took about 5 different ones...you've seen the frist one, now here is the final one...
Just an update on Cameron and her weight gain...she gained 3oz at her apt. last week!!! Woo Hoo! That means no test needed, we are so thankful for that. We also met with the nutritionist who gave us lots of pointers to putting some pounds on our little girl. She is continues to be in the 4% for weight so we still have some work to do. The first thing we can do is add whole milk powder to her milk to add extra calories right off the bat. Then it's on to sneaking more calories in where we can! Thank you for all your prayers!!

Easter Isn't Over
The kids have been having fun with their Easter treats...there was kind of a Summer theme to their baskets but there's no reason we can't test them all out indoors first!
Ready for some rays...I think Cameron looks like one of my old school teachers in this shot!
They have more fun taking the harmonicas in and out of their cases than playing them...at least Timo is trying...

Get Me Out...Or is it...Put Me Back In?
We have a door leading to our hallway and the kids have discovered slamming it makes a really, really loud noise. To try and prevent the slamming, I put an empty basket in front of the door so the kids won't really notice the door...they will notice the basket. Well it worked and the kids push the basket around from time to time or put some toys in it just playing around. But the other day I heard them playing around the basket but wasn't really watching them. Then I heard Timothy start screaming this "I'm mad" scream. I went around the corner and found this.
Thinking he had, somehow, accidentally got himself stuck in the basket and wanted out. I rescued him and tried to get Cameron out as well but she wanted to stay put. Timothy started to climb back in, fussing and trying to pull Cameron out...then I realized he was mad because his sister climbed in the basket with him! Luckily we had another empty basket...

Sleepy & Grumpy
Typically the kids nap for an average of 2 hours a day..either one long nap or two shorter naps. Rarely do they sleep over 2 hours but have been known to sleep 2 1/2 hr at a time if they are sick or something. On Saturday we too the kids to the park and I guess they were worn out from playing and they slept over 2 hours for their afternoon nap. We actually woke them up because it was past 4pm and I didn't want it to affect their bedtime. But you know what they say, never wake a sleeping baby! Cameron wasn't happy. She was VERY slow to wake up after her nap...I couldn't help but take some shots of our grumpy, sleepy little girl.
I have no idea where her sock is...somewhere in the crib.

Happy Easter!
We had a wonderful Easter this year, sharing it with many of our friends, good food and rejoicing in the wonders of our risen Lord! The kids must have know it was a was special day...waking up much earlier than they normally do. (we could have gone to sunrise service) So we got an early start on our day of celebration! It was a good thing...I had to get going on my ham for our Easter dinner with friends!(our camera battery died right in the morning so I don't have pictures from lunch)
We started the tradition of Easter Baskets this year and the kids loved them! Since they can't really eat candy yet, I filled plastic eggs with Cheerios, Goldfish and yogurt bites...all of which were gone in minuets! I think the kids had fun with the baskets and all the little goodies inside.
Cameron was thrilled about her bubbles while Timothy was focused on shaking and opening the eggs!
It was impossible to get the kids together, sitting sill, smiling and looking at the camera for an Easter picture! At least I could get them somewhat focused with the eggs long enough to get a picture of each. Thanks Granny for the new clothes!!
