We officially have First Graders! Timothy and Cameron had their last day of kindergarten last Friday and finished up a great first year of school. Both their class had really fun graduation parties on the last day which made it a little crazy for me trying to be two places at once. (which is one reason why they will be in the same class next year).
Cameron's class had pizza and ice cream party before their graduation ceremony. Each child got a diploma, photo album, butterfly headband (girls) and a pinwheel.
We love Ms. Marcia and had a great year creating special projects and learning how to use "spicy words"!
While Cameron's class was eating pizza, I hopped over to Timo's class to help serve the hot dogs and cookies for their lunch. The class then played a little school year trivia game, parents against kids which the kids beat us! They presented their favorite art of the year and then received their scrap books and diplomas made by Mrs. Deere.
We had an amazing year with Mrs. Deere learning our math skills and learning patience and waiting our turn!
We're so proud of Timo and Cameron. They worked hard, faced some fears, showed dedication to reading and writing and came out of kindergarten with above average grades in most categories. Both their teachers are confident in them being "first grade ready"! So ready or not, here we come...
