Granny & Grandpa

My parents are here visiting from North Carolina and boy are the kids getting spoiled rotten...not to mention me too! It's so nice having extra pairs of hands helping out with the kids. Mom is a champ at washing dishes and high chair trays...while daddy is an expert at bath time.

Grandpa brought Timo a little matchbox car...he wouldn't let go of it...he slept with it for 2 nights in a row.

We hit Tots Time at the rec center...the kids could roam all over this time with two people to watch them.

Grandpa giving the kids their first taste of Pepsi...taste born in the Carolinas!

Granny giving Timo a wake up kiss...notice he still has the car in his hand.

We hit Fisherman's Warf for a little while one day...I feel like I'm the one on vacation. Mom was happy to push the stroller and Daddy & Young took the kids to see the boats...nothing left for me to do.

The kids were getting cranky and it was their nap time, so we sent them home with the guys while mom and I got to do some shopping.

I Love My Trucks!

I've been collecting pictures over the past few days of Timothy and his trucks/cars, which was pretty easy. There always seems to be a car in his hand. He has loved his dump truck for a long time but has now started running cars all over the floor, furniture, table, anywhere. He loves anything that's on wheels. Now he can make the car sounds and crash noises. Not only is it his toys but he loves watching large trucks go by. He makes a be-line to the window every Thursday morning when he hears the dump trucks. He'll stand and watch them out the window until they are out of sight...and sometimes has a melt down when he can't see them any more...poor baby.

Cameron figured out how to sit on the dump truck and turn it into a ridding toy...crafty little girl!

Petting Zoo

Another free Wednesday at the zoo. Here are a few pictures of our twins play group. There are 4 moms and 8 kids. We tend to just hang in the petting zoo area because the kids can't really see the bigger animals in the zoo from their stroller and no way are we taking out all these babies to run in twenty different directions! The petting zoo provides enough excitement for the little ones and enough stress for us moms.Cameron was much more brave this time. She walked right up to the goats but still loved to just watch all the baby chicks.

It is SO hard keeping all the kids out of the duck pond. So they went over and tried to get wet from the water spicket...why are my kids the one causing the trouble??

My Rocking Chair!

Since Cameron loves to sit in chairs, I've been on the lookout for a little chair just for her. I found this rocking chair on Craigslist and snatched it right up! But unfortunately, you can't introduce just one new toy to a set of twins. That's just asking for an all out brawl. So I had to keep it in the garage for a day or so until I could find one for Timothy. But luckily, I found another little toy for him in some items our neighbor wanted to get rid of...a little guitar just Timo's size! They were both so happy with their new toys and no fights. Best of all, the new items kept them entertained long enough for me to get the house clean for my parents arrival tomorrow!!Climbing in the chair right away and learning how to rock back and forth.

Timothy tuning his new guitar trying to make some music.

Cameron was nice enough to let her brother in the chair but then she started rocking it and he got a little scared...he went back to his guitar.

Babysitting

Over the weekend we had the pleasure of babysitting Jordan! She is the lovable 11mo old daughter of some good friends from our church. Boy, did we find out we are not ready for another baby! While it was so much fun having her for two days, we realized having 1 baby on one schedule and 2 babies on another is no easy job.

All the kids playing in the crib while Young put on a puppet show. Timo and Jordan playing in the kitchen. Jordan is just starting to pull herself up, yeah Jordan! She really loved Cameron and kept pulling on her to try and stand...so very cute.

We took them out on a stroll but they liked the view of the waterfall better than the view of Mommy with the camera. And Jordan did a good job at keeping up with these two walkers, she followed them all around. By the end of our time together, Timothy kept pointing at her and making the "J" sound with a big smile on his face. True friendship!

Silly Cameron!

I mentioned before how Cameron loves to wear hats...well, I guess she thinks anything can be a hat. She pulled this tuperware bowl out and was playing with it. Next thing I knew, she was wearing it on her head and wouldn't take it off! She was having the best time wearing it all over the house all day long. Silly Girl!

More Seats to Sit In

My parents are coming this week for a visit so I'm cleaning out the spare bed room for them. We tend to pile up things the kids have out grown in there then make one run every other month down to storage. As I gathered everything by the door to take out, the kids grabbed their little bath seats and started playing with them...sitting in them. I had to keep them out for a few days before they got board with them again.
Saturday mornings we let the kids watch their Praise Baby video...perfect seats for it. And Cameron catching up on her reading in her reading chair.

Wrap Up

Just wrapping up the last of our Monterey photos...

Cameron trying to get the noodles in and Timothy perfecting his ketchup dipping skills.

They did really well in the restaurants and got a little dessert for being so good. They both picked off the chocolate and ate the strawberry...who's kids are these???

Timo checking out the driver's seat with daddy...and the stairs at the hotel we a source of great entertainment for the kiddies...and good exercise for mommy!

Peek A Boo!

This is one of Cameron's favorite games....Peek a boo! (or P Boo as she says) She is always ducking behind something or covering her face, trying to lure you into her little game. Here she is in the car down in Monterey as I kept looking back at her...sorry if the video is a little bumpy...

My Museum

I loved this little museum....a hands on place just for the little kiddies! It's called the My Museum and I found it online while searching for activities for kids...and it was just a few blocks from our hotel. We took the kids the morning before we headed back so they would be good and tired...sleeping all the way home. And of course the kids had so much fun running from one activity to another, finding all sorts of wheels to turn, objects to hold and things to climb on and up. There were several different themed rooms...The Farm, The Beach, The hospital, The Doll House...each room having so many way for the kids to interact and learn. Cameron especially like the Tree House, doll house and tea party. Anything that had a little chair for her to sit in. Timo like the Farm and the Beach...and anything that had a wheel to turn...This tree house had little mechanical birds that Cameron loved to watch...and here she is at her own little tea party.
Anything with a wheel to turn...it took a lot to get him out of this boat.
Daddy looking a little scared to have two 15mo olds driving the fire truck! And Cameron brushing up on her gardening skill, picking carrots.
The kids loved this little two seat set in the tree house...wonder where you can get one of these??

Beach Time

Even though the weather wasn't really cooperating with us, we decided to take the kids to the beach anyway just for a little sand time. The Carmel Coast has some of the most beautiful views so we wanted to take advantage of being there. Timo was in awe of the beach and just stood looking at it for the longest time.
Cameron was a little hesitant of the sand...it feels different than the sand in the sandbox at the park. Beach sand is kinda wet and sticks to your fingers. She didn't really like it stuck all in her hands. But she had a blast pointing at object at the beach...dogs, birds, people, balls, etc...

Once Timo got over the view, he got right to playing in the sand, filled his buckets, dumped them out, filled them, dumped the out...over and over. He got sand all in his hair, face, clothes...everywhere. Daddy took him down to the water and he got very upset when he couldn't get in. Next time when it's a little warmer buddy.

Once we got back to the car we had to strip Timothy down before getting in his seat! I think he had a really good time at the beach!!
