Dino, USA and Gymnastics Camp

As I mentioned in earlier posts, we took full advantage of camps offered at the YMCA. The facility was just blocks away from home so we were able to ride our backs there and home every day. The kids learned lots about bike safety and riding on roads (most of our bike riding in SF is in parks), so it was a great educational opportunity.
Dino Camp!  I originally just had Cameron signed up and Timo asked to go last minute and they made a spot for him (I love the employees).  Most of the week was just dino related activities, not really teaching about specific dinos, but the kids have fun anyway.  Cameron was super excited the first day to wear her dino shirt and take her T-Rex friend.  There were lots of crafts!  My favs were the dino eggs and I love this pasta skeleton pics.
The next week was Party in the USA camp.  They learned a different city in the USA each day...New Orleans (the mask), Hershey, PA, NYC, Hawaii and Texas.  They had chocolate fondue on the Hershey day, chili on Texas day, pineapple while in Hawaii and of course, made pizza for NYC.
Our final week Cameron had gymnastics camp which she LOVED!  I don't have many pics because it was a drop off, 3hr camp and the parent section was at the front while the kids were mostly in the back.  And while we missed Cameron, it was a great time for just Mommy and Timo to have some time together.
So needless to say, we loved our time at the YMCA.  Each day, after camp, we had stay a bit and watch the Zumba class going on.  Cameron loved watching them "dancing" to the really loud music.  She kept asking when we could take that class.  It did look like fun...but not enough to motivate me to join...too much sweating...maybe next year...
