Cameron's Gymnastics

Cameron just finished up her gymnastics before out summer break. Due to our upcoming trip to Ohio, we had to put her class on hold for the next two months. But she has come so far in the last 5 months since she started and she has loved every minute.  She started out in the tumblers class and loved her teacher Miss Destine.  She learned some basics and was quickly ready to move up to the Level 1 class.
She kept asking for a leotard to be like the other girls in the class so once she moved to Level 1, I thought it was time for a leotard.  She was soooo excited!!  We set up a "balance beam" in the living room so she could practice before her first Level 1 class.  She was smallest girl in her new class by far, as you can see in the picture (she's the little one in the light pink), but that didn't stop her from giving 110% each week.
She worked so hard at flips, cartwheels, balance beams, and bar work.  She hasn't quite got the hang of a head stand yet but she doesn't give up.  Bars and rings are her strong point so far.  I don't have any videos and the pictures aren't that great, but the gym is so large and there is so much going on, they don't let parents out on the floor.  I try to get up close when they are working near the seating area but they go so fast, it's hard to get the little details.
We'll miss our class for the next few months but hopefully she can keep up the practice while we're in Ohio...
