Cathing Up

School is out next week and we leave for Ohio a few days later, so things have been busy...but we've managed to squeezed in some fun the past few weeks.  I've run out of after school snack ideas and we've been having some special treats.
Timo and Cameron learned how to play checkers at school and have been asking for a game at home.  I picked this one up at the Dollar Store and they were so happy...we've since found out that Cameron is a little checkers shark!
Teaching the kids how get a little drop of honey from our honeysuckle bush...brings back memories of attacking our honeysuckle as a child with my brother, Shannon and Wendy.
I guess Cameron thought Booty needed a cup of tea...
Mother's Day cards from the kids, so sweet.
We've really gotten into movie night lately.  Daddy has been working long hours so it's a nice change on Friday nights to snuggle and watch a movie.  Our recent favorites are Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Night At the Museum and Horton Hears a Who?.
The kids are finally on their two wheeled scooters that were handed down from the Busbee girls.  After getting the hang of the balance thing, we took them to the park to really speed along.  A quick stop for hot dogs in the park and we spotted a bubble lady across the way.  Timo walked right up and asked to try and she was kind enough to agree.  Wow, look at the big bubbles.
And a really fun family outing.  I was craving some adult food and we don't really have babysitters at our disposals unless we plan pretty far ahead.  So this last minute craving required dressing the kids up and taking them along with us.  They were pretty cranky as we were trying to get them ready because they don't like getting out their routine but the perseverance paid off.  We had such a great time being out together, relaxing and enjoy good food.  We kept the kids busy playing I Spy while we waited for the food.  Harris has a big painted mural on the wall of SF so there were lots of things to spy!

I took some activity books for the kids to do and Cameron got right to work on hers...
Toward the end of the meal Timo and Daddy got really silly, so I knew it was time to leave. A good time was had by all!!
