The kids are still talking about our trip to Disney! It was such a fun day for them and each has their own highlights of the park...Timo's was driving the cars and Cameron's was meeting Micky Mouse!
We started out early, 9am, knowing there were going to be big crowds. We decided to get on the train at the entrance and head to the back of the park to ride It's A Small World before the lines got so super long. The kids have seen the Disney commercial on TV with It's A Small World playing so they were excited to see what it was all about...and it did not disappoint. Being Christmas, it was a special holiday It's A Small World. Since it was our first ride, waiting in line for 30 mins didn't seem so bad, it was time for snack anyway!
We tackled Toon Town next where we got go in Goofy's house, Donald Duck's house, test drive some cars and meet the one and only Mickey Mousse. Cameron was so excited, I asked her what she was gonna do when she saw Mickey..."Mommy, I will give him a big hug!" And that's exactly what she did...
Timo saw the Tea Cup ride and just had to get on it. I wasn't so sure if they were old enough and the line was a little long but he really wanted to ride it...and it was worth it. They both loved it! The more Young spun the cup around the more they enjoyed it...totally worth it...
We made our way through the princess castle and met Peter Pan on the other side. He was so cool to the kids...he would run and leap and then ask them to follow. Timo followed him all around, saying "Hi Peter Pan, over her Peter Pan, like this Peter Pan?" So cute. I might have to rent the movie now...
We stretched the kids out without a nap the whole day but they were starting to get a little cranky around 2ish...so I found a snack stand that sold snack packs of yoguart, string cheese, goldfish, apple slices, etc...lot's of power snacks. We took a long snack break, fueled up and the kids were good to go for the next 4 hours!
Then Timo saw the best thing ever...a real live pirate ship! It was huge and sailed around the lagoon...it was a must ride! We sail on top for a while then went below to check out the barracks and treasure chests. Arr Matey! One final ring of the Captin's bell...
From pirate ships to race cars...off we went to the Autotopia. I rode with Cameron so I don't have any pics of Timo driving but I could hear his cackles loud and clear from his car!
It was getting darker and more chilly by the minute and we knew it was time to start headed home. One last ride on the rockets...
The great thing about the kids being so young...we walk right out of Disneyland without having to buy any souviners. They are totally oblivious to being able to take anything home with them. We left around 5:30, after 9 hours of walking, riding, seeing and experienceing all Disneyland had to offer. We caught our shuttle bus back to the hotel and kids seemed like they were still full of energy.
