I'm going to break up our beach vacation into a few posts...even though we had a pretty active week, we made sure there was LOTS of down time...just sitting in chairs doing nothing at all...and eating...
Our first full day at the beach was so. much. fun! I'm not much a a beach person, and still not, but watching the kids run around and have fun was totally worth all the work of lugging all the "stuff" out there, sand EVERYWHERE, and lugging all the "stuff". Timo to right to the water. He and Daddy had a blast all day playing in the water. I'm not sure who was having more fun, Young or Timothy!
Cameron stuck strictly to the sand area...no waves for her. She was completely content digging, building and swimming in the little pool she dug with her brother.
We had a full day at the beach and had another time honored activity of Myrtle Beach...putt putt golf! Luckily the campground had a small putt putt course so we could just walk over after dinner...it was just big enough for the little ones.
Our main objective was to get the ball in the hole, so needless to say, we didn't keep score. It didn't take long for Timo and Cameron to get the hang of it, with a little help from their cousins, Kaylee and Kenzie.
The only hiccup we had was Timo got very upset to lose his ball on the last hole...the ball rolls under and back up to the office and you can't pick it back out. Oh well, Timo recovered and we had a great time golfing!
