We started off December with seeing Santa and our 9th Annual Christmas Ornament party! But first we had to go scout out the perfect tree at our local nursery.
Cameron thought this was the perfect tree...just her size.
Timo came outside with his toy saw to help daddy get it all trimmed up for the Christmas tree stand.
We got the tree up, lights on and all ready for our annual Christmas party! This year theme was Silver and Gold. The winning ornament went to Claudia Busbee with this beautiful ornament she made herself.
This was a few of our honorable mentions...the Prospector from "Rudolpf", he was looking for gold..ha, ha. And these beautiful Chinese coins that were actually brought from Texas by our friend Linda Kittletz.
We found a little time that weekend to sneak in a trip to see Santa too. Timo and Cameron were actually excited to see Santa this year and had their lists all ready...but as soon as we walked up, they froze. They each stood behind me and told Santa what they wanted...Timo an air hockey table, remote control car, and a race car that he can build...while Cameron asked for a horse that she could brush it's hair and a croquet set (no idea where she got that one from??). Santa was so sweet to even answer Timo when he asked where Santa's reindeer were...of course Timo would ask that! The kids agreed to a picture as long as Young and I were sitting with them...Santa 2011!
Our house was in full swing of Christmas after that weekend. We were playing Christmas carols non-stop for a few days, getting into the spirit. I guess "Jingle Bell Rock" was one song that stuck with Timo. He can't help but sing it while he works on his train track masterpiece.
