While we spent 90% of our time at campground, enjoying all it had to offer, we did venture out once or twice to have some adventures. Putt Putt golf was at the top of the list! There was a dinosaur themed park up the street by the campground so it only seemed natural that that's where we would end up. Timo even got two hole in ones!
One of our last days was about 99degrees outside so we decided to take refuge in a the big, cool, air conditioned Ripley's Aquarium.
We walked under the impressive shark tunnel, had little fish eat dead skin off our hands, touched sharked and saw lots of cool underwater sealife.
But of course, being Ripley's, it had to have some "catchy theme" and this one had mermaids. We watched a mermaid show and even got to meet the mermaids after! Cameron was memorized...
We explored the rest of Broadway at the Beach and popped into Ridez Makers to get some new wheels!
And our last night of vacation we gave into Timo's constant asking and travel back to the Medieval Times! Timo had picked up a flyer of the dinner show in the office of the campground when we checked in. He looked at it daily and asked over and over if we could go. We decided it would be a good way to close out our vacation and it did not disappoint. The excitement level running to the castle was overflowing!
Real knights, real horses, real challenges....it was all so very exciting! We were on the yellow team, cheering for the yellow knight. They each had challenges and if they won, the knight came over to his team's section and passed out flowers to random fans. Cameron was chosen to receive a flower and she felt so proud. It was a very exciting night for the kids and a great way to finish off our vacation.
