We woke up on Labor Day and hung around the hotel room for a little while...trying to touch the sky and pretending to be race car drivers in our pillow race car!
Then we packed up and headed over to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I was excited to go since the last time we were there was about 8 years ago when Young and I were dating! What I was most excited about was there were lots of ride for the kids to ride. Cameron is a little on the small size for her age so she often isn't tall enough for most rides...but not at the Boardwalk! We rode rides for four solid hours. These are only half the rides we did...the other half we were riding with them and couldn't snap pics.
There were a few bigger rides that Timo was tall enough for and wanted to try out...he was a little scared riding them but was asking to go again once they were done! Guess we have a thrill seeker...
This one was a little too scary. He really wanted to ride it with his daddy and even made fast friends with the little boy next to him...but he didn't want to ride this one again...
We made sure to make time for some corn dogs and ice cream!
Timo kept asking and asking to play an arcade game so we gave in and let them play a game each. The good thing was they won tickets that we turned in for shark tattoos!
Our last hurrah was the sky ride! I must say this ride seem totally harmless while we were waiting in line but once we were up in the air...oh boy, it was high.
We finally left after a long day of fun. The kids fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot! Young decided to take advantage of the quiet to do a little scenic drive through Santa Cruz...so beautiful.
On the way home we stopped for dinner at one of our favorite places, Half Moon Bay. We got a beautiful sunset before the fog rolled in. Yay for family time!
