Coming Home

As sad as we were to leave all our family and hot, summer weather behind, it was so nice to go home after 5 1/2 weeks away.  We had successful flights and were welcomed by the cold fog settling.
Our flight to Chicago was short but then our flight got delayed to San Francisco.  It was a long wait trying to keep the little ones entertained...exercised seemed to work for a little while.

We were able to go into the United Lounge for a little while, long enough to grab a snack and Cameron to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate...

Once on the plane, we sat at the gate waiting and waiting for some repair.  Luckily we had the trusty ipad and lots of action out the window to make time go by faster.  And of course, being just plain silly is always fun too!

 Turns out, our wait was so long, the kids fell right to sleep before we took off!

I thought this was so funny and so telling.  This was Timo sleeping our first night back home.  It was so much colder in SF than what he had been used to and he was covered all the way up to his ears trying to stay warm!  I was good to be home sweet home!
