Baseball games! My brother had a little food stand at the Wilson Tob's baseball, so we got to see some games and meet the Tobs Tobacco leaf..I know, but it is the south!
The Mudcats game, even though the kids wore their Bulls hats. But we had fun anyway, eating peanuts and hanging with the cousins.
Timo's binoculars...they went everywhere with us. He loved to stand on the back porch and look for storm clouds.
Watching a downpour during one of those thunderstorms.
All the cousins were together constantly. Even tough the girls had camps and various other activities, every minute they could, they were over playing with the twins. Granny even had teddy bears made for all the grandkids.
This was an activity at a restaurant we were having lunch at...a letter scramble, but I was so impressed with the kids knowing and writing all the letters by themselves!
Ice cream, ice cream, we all scream for ice cream...and we had our fair share while on vacation!
Even a box can be fun! The kids had their ups, and their downs...Cameron was very upset over having to come inside. It was 100 degrees outside, way too hot for them to be outside.
Endless hours of just playing with the trucks on the back porch...
Timo just being a boy! Playing baseball every chance he got and enjoy the simplicity of the hand drying blowing in his face!
We loved spending time with Granny and Grandpa!
Sharing a bed...was fine once they fell asleep, but getting them to sleep was a chore. Lot's of taking covers, laying on each other's "side of the bed", Cameron was always rolling over onto Timo in her sleep...
Timo's favorite spot, outside on the deck, laying in the warm morning sunshine.
Thank goodness Grandpa got the pool!
Lots and lots of bike riding...and learning the "rules of the road"...the scene of an accident. They kept riding too close together and would get tangled up and crash. But they also learned new tricks. Timo thought he was tough stuff when he learned how to "pop a wheelie" on the bump of the carport.
Inside activities when the outside temp got too hot. Playdoh and growing bugs were at the top of the list. I must say it was also nice that my parents had cable TV (something we don't have). The children got to watch lots of new shows they have never seen before.. Aquabots and Jake & the Neverland Pirates were at the top of the list.
Yes, what's a summer without lots and lots of watermelon! We already miss everyone sooooo much and can't wait to go back next summer!
